Meet Robert Veitch of ONE7 Solutions...
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert Veitch attended the University of Vermont where he played soccer and graduated with a double major in History and Political Science. Robert settled back in Boulder to start his professional career in the bicycle industry, rising through the ranks of Pearl Izumi (a leading cycling and performance clothing manufacturer) into positions including sales executive and regional sales manager. From Pearl Izumi, Robert accepted the position of national sales and marketing director for Groundzero Sports Marketing, a leading marketing contractor in the outdoor industry. There he initiated mobile marketing campaigns for Nike Cycling, Klein Bicycles, Pearl Izumi Running, as well as other cycling and running companies.
Tiring of travel and wishing to spend more time with his new bride, Robert and his wife moved to the Vail Valley in 2004 and together, started their company Swiss Mountain Ventures. Originally created as a real estate re-development company, Swiss Mountain Ventures evolved over the years into a small-business investment holding company. In 2007 Robert joined Marca Colorado, a residential and commercial real estate group, as a founding partner.
Sport and competition was always an extention of his personality and his inspiration, and for more than 30 years Robert rode competively on the road, mountain and cyclocross circuit. Over the years he won or placed top ten overall in races such as Vail 100, Norba National events, 24 Hours of Moab, Sea Otter Classic, and Leadville 50. Robert was fortunate enough to qualify and compete for national championships in soccer, skiing, mountain biking and road cycling. Nowadays he can be also found playing beer-league hockey or in some athletic pursuit with his two sons.
Throughout his professional career Robert had the privilege to be a board member of the Harold W. & Mary Louise Shaw Foundation. The Shaw Foundation makes grants to organizations that impact lives throughout Colorado and the United States. SOS Outreach, The Vail Valley Medical Center, Roundup River Ranch, Vail Valley Charitable Fund, and Habitat for Humanity are a few of the local organizations the Shaw Foundation is proud to support. Robert and his wife Kelly and their two sons Shaw and Yaro call Eagle, Colorado, and the Gore Range mountains home.
